When I first moved to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, I was obsessed with Dumont. I found their 10 dollar burger a special treat, and I would treat myself to the burger quite often. After a while they expanded their business to the adjoining store front to include a larger delivery service, and with the expansion came an increase in their prices. They now offer a burger for $12.50, and a mini burger for $9.50. I began to frequent less and less, and hadn’t eaten there in a year or so, when I decided to return for a burger last week.

It is a very good burger, not my favorite by any stretch, but a good hearty treat.

I like the wood decor and cozy setting. They have communal tables and bar seating. The best thing about this place though: the mac and cheese. Few things are as indulgent and satisfying. I also opted to try the pumpkin shake with a shot of booze and it was delicious as well.

The mini burger was plenty for me – about 6 ounces, plus more room for the mac.
